This policy explains what PeptX.AI collects and why. We keep it minimal — you don't need an account to use PeptX.AI, and we don't sell your data.

What we collect

Questions you ask the assistant. We log the questions and answers so we can improve accuracy and the FAQ. Please don't include personal or identifying information in your questions.
Basic technical data. Your IP address and request timing are processed to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse. We don't use it to build advertising profiles.
Local storage. A small flag is stored in your browser to remember that you've acknowledged the research-use notice. No tracking cookies.

Why we process it (lawful basis)

We rely on legitimate interests: running, securing, and improving the service, and preventing abuse. We collect no more than we need for those purposes.

Who processes it

We use trusted infrastructure providers to host the site, store data, and generate AI responses. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. We do not sell or share your data for marketing.

Retention

Chat logs and rate-limit records are kept only as long as needed to operate and improve the service, then deleted or aggregated.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may request access to, or deletion of, data we hold about you. Because we don't require accounts, we may need details to locate any records. Contact hello@peptx.ai.

Children

PeptX.AI is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change accordingly.
